In Juneau we had a bus trip through the Yukon territory crossing in to Canada and back. Along the way we saw fantastic views of mountains after mountains & lake after lakes. Stopped in this one place where the natives erect these little house like piles of rocks and the visitors are encouraged to build one of their own if they would like. Notice the pole along the side of the road with the red and yellow stripes? Our guide told us that the snow gets so high along the sides when they plow that the poles are used to let the plow driver know when he is getting too close to the edge. Yellow caution, red dead. This road is curvy & narrow, so they are all along the road.
